Ayurveda And Hemipligea

According to Ayurveda this condition is termed as Pakshaghatha, that Means, loss of ability of one side of the body, its being said that this condition will occur due to disturbance in the vata dosha which controls the motor and sensory activities of the body

The factors which will aggravate the vitiation of vata dosha are mainly Abhighatha (External Injury), Premeha (Diabetis). Any external organism which can affect the brain and central nervous system.

In ayurveda the normal human activity and constituency is made by the proper balance of three doshas(vata, pitta, kapha) and panchabhootha (5 basic elements), every part of the body is build up with these factors, and the whole neuronal structure is maintained  by kapha dosha and the hormonal activities by the pitta dosha and the neurotransmitter functions by vata, any blockage in the proper functioning of all these three leading to vitiation and in result a disease.

In this case, brain is the sight of injury and as the neurotransmitter function is in the control of vata, we have to get the vata dosha back to its normalcy, any structural deformity to the brain. Due to the accident will be making the the kapha dosha vitiation and making the disease vata kapha in nature, depending upon the sites the the condition varies, sometime mild inflammatory pathology will be there leading to the nerve blockage. In ayurveda without pitta vitiation there wont be any inflammation, so a combination of all these doshas will be making the condition
